Review: Monster Etiquette: An Illustrated Guide to Genteel Behavior

Monster Etiquette: An Illustrated Guide to Genteel Behavior by Don Moyer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Let's look at the full title: Monster Etiquette: An Illustrated Guide to Genteel Behavior for monsters, gargoyles, aliens, and nephews. Fifty principles to help you secure a respected place in polite society.

And how about a synopsis (originally missing on Goodreads but I asked them to fix it):

"We are surrounded by rude, loud, smelly, selfish creatures who don’t know how to behave. Don Moyer decided to do something about it. This book offers 50 principles to help the ill-mannered behave with civility and grace.

Each of the captions in this book is a small poem. It has been said that a good poem helps change the shape of the universe. Well, these aren’t that kind of poem, but they get the job done and may make you smile."

------------
This is a humorous and charming illustrated book with classic Calamityware styled illustrations. Suitable for children of any age, it's full of wise advice in the form of short rhymes that children can easily remember with a bit of parental prompting. This is a great little picture book. I ordered directly from Calamityware.

One of the illustrations. They're all cute.
